Honoring Friends and Family
The Journey to the Manger Committee is pleased to announce that individuals, businesses, and families will have the opportunity to honor or remember others during this season. Each night of the Journey to the Manger, volunteers will light luminaries for a special person(s) in your life.
Dates of Event:
Luminaries will be lighted on December 9 and 10,
5 PM – 8 PM on location at the Journey to The Manger pageant along the Creekwalk in Bakersville.
Luminaries are only $5 each and will be aglow both nights during your trip to the manger. Proceeds from all luminaries will be used to support Journey to the Manger 2024.
Dates for Ordering
- Ordering period for luminaries starts on Monday, November 27.
- Orders must be received by Tuesday, December 5th to prepare them for the Journey.
- Some luminaries may be available on December 9th – 10th if we have not sold out.
Three ways to order:
- If your church has a contact person for the luminaries, please provide them with a completed form that lists each person to be highlighted. Return it to the contact along with payment of $5 for each. Churches may drop off their forms at Bowditch Antiques in Bakersville.
- If you would like to order your luminary when you are in Bakersville, please stop by Bowditch Antiques (between the Library and UCB; Google Map) to drop off your request and payment.
